You can adjust the length of the track by creating a serpentine or by manually inserting meanders into the track.

To create a serpentine

Select the track and perform the following operations:

  1. Open the Properties dialog box in one of the following ways:

    • Double-click on the object.

    • Press the key combination ALT+Enter.

    • Click the button in the toolbar.

    • Activate the context menu with the right mouse button and choose the command Properties.

  2. Activate the Serpentine tab.

  3. The length of the track and that of the entire branch to which the track belongs is shown. Set the parameters to adjust the length. To preview the changes, click the Apply button.

  4. Click on OK.

To manually insert meanders

  1. Choose the PCB » Track » Meander command or click the tool in the toolbar.

  2. Click on the track where you want to insert the meander and drag the mouse to adjust the height. The meander is created with the width equal to the value of the Spacing parameter specified in the Serpentine tab. The width can later be adjusted by selecting the track with the editing tool and dragging the meander hooks.

  3. To repeat the command press the SPACEBAR. To close the tool without drawing the meander press ESC or right-click.
