Layers are collected in one or more views. The order of the layers in the view determines their overlap in the drawing. The same layers can be sorted differently in different views so that you can choose the best view to perform a certain operation.

To change the order in which layers overlap in the view

  1. Open the Layer Setup dialog box in one of the following ways:

    • If the layer and view bar is displayed, click the button on the bar.

    • Choose the Layer and Views command in the Settings menu.

  2. In the View pane, select the layer to move.

  3. Click the button to bring the layer over a position or the button to bring it down.
