Each layer has properties associated with it, such as color and line type, which are applied to all objects on the layer when the current setting is From Layer.
To set the layer styles in a specific view

Open the Layer Setup dialog box in one of the following ways:

If the layer and view bar is displayed, click the button on the bar.

Choose the Layer and Views command in the Settings menu.

In the View pane, select the layer. The layer properties are shown in the Properties pane.

Set Use the styles defined in the layer to No.
Click the Layer styles tab.
Set the layer styles.
To set the layer styles in all views

In all views where the layer is included, set the Use the styles defined in the layer option to Yes.

Changes made to layer settings can be undone by selecting the Cancel layer management command from the Modify menu. |
