Layers are collected in one or more views. Views allow you to set local values for layer parameters (grid parameters, line style, etc.) so that the same drawing can be displayed in different modes.
To create a view

Open the Layer Setup dialog box in one of the following ways:

If the layer and view bar is displayed, click the button on the bar.

Choose the Layer and Views command in the Settings menu.

Click the Add view button.

In the dialog box, specify the name to be assigned to the view.

Set the view properties.

Add layers to the view.
To duplicate an existing view

Open the Layer Setup dialog box in one of the following ways:

If the layer and view bar is displayed, click the button on the bar.

Choose the Layer and Views command in the Settings menu.

In the View pane, select the view you want to duplicate.

Click the Duplicate view button.

Set the view name.
