The header line is an area at the top edge of the pages while the footer is an area at the bottom edge. The header and footer can be separated from the text by a line of separation and can contain a line of text.
Position
- Fit to the margins of the page

Specifies the position of the line. You can specify an absolute position or relative to the margins of the page:
To specify an absolute position, remove the checkmark from the Fit to the margins of the page box and specify the left and right margins and the distance from the vertical edge of the page.
To specify a position relative to the margins of the page, check the box Fit to the margins of the page and specify the distance from the vertical margin of the page.

Specify whether the header line or footer should also be applied to the first page.
- Apply to even pages

Activate the checkmark to apply the header line or footer to even pages.
- Apply to odd pages

Activate the checkmark to apply the header line or footer to odd pages.
Separation line
Adjusts the visibility, color, and position of the separation line.
Left-aligned text
Specify the text to be entered with the left alignment. You can enter a field code by clicking the button. Click the Character button to choose the font.
Center-aligned text
Specify the text to be entered with the alignment in the middle. You can enter a field code by clicking the button. Click the Character button to choose the font.
Right-aligned text
Specify the text to be entered with the right hand alignment. You can enter a field code by clicking the button. Click the Character button to choose the font.
