When drawing the PCB, it is useful to know the distance between the objects. This function finds the minimum distance between the external profiles of two objects.
To measure spacing

Choose the PCB » Measure Spacing command or click the
button in the toolbar.
Click on the first object. This is the basic object. The object is highlighted.
Click on the second object. The object is highlighted and the test result is displayed in the message panel.
To perform other measurements than the base object, click on the objects to be tested for spacing.
Commands and options
To reset the base object, hold down the CTRL key and click on the object you want to measure against.
To reset the tool click in an empty area of the PCB.
To close the instrument press ESC.
