A private style can be assigned to objects either from the Style Bar or in the object's properties dialog box.
To assign a private style to objects from the Style Bar
Do one of the following:

Select the objects to which you want to assign the style.
Click on the arrow
on the style bar next to the button corresponding to the desired style.
Choose Private style.
To assign a private style to objects from the object's properties dialog box

Display the object properties dialog box.
Choose Use a private style in the list box that lists the available styles. The dialog box for setting style parameters opens.
