The synchronization operation between the Schematic and PCB allows you to automatically update the component references on the PCB to match those on the schematic. If the project does not contain a PCB document then the procedure for creating a new document is started.

To update the PCB

  1. Choose the Schematic » Update PCB command or click on the tool in the toolbar. If your project does not contain a PCB document, the New document dialog box opens in which to specify the title of the document, the type and the basic model.

  2. The PCB document is created or updated. Any components added will appear in the PCB Panel.
