Free text consists of one or more lines of text and can be used to insert a single word or short descriptions. Although there is no limit to the length of the text, free text is suitable for containing short lines of text.
To add a text

Choose the Graphics » Text » Text command or click the tool on the toolbar.

Position the mouse pointer at the point where you want to insert the text and click to display the insertion cursor.

Type the text. The text will be aligned to the insertion point according to the current style.
To end the insertion of the text, click on a point outside the text or press CTRL+TAB.
The text is created in the current style of the text.
When entering text, you can use the mouse pointer to move the cursor or to select part of the text. The selected text can be deleted, copied or edited. You can change the color or effects (underline, strikethrough, italic, bold, etc.).
Commands and options
To add a new text press the SPACEBAR.
To close the tool without adding text, press ESC.
To select text options, activate the tool menu with the secondary mouse button or select the toolbar buttons.
When typing text, press the secondary mouse button to display the tool menu. Choose the Insert submenu commands to enter field codes and special characters into the text.
To specify the coordinates of the insertion point you can use the pointing device or you can press INS to open the dialog box for entering coordinates.
