This command allows you to draw a single horizontal dimension. When you have finished drawing the dimension, the tool closes automatically.

To draw a dimension

Choose the Graphics » Dimension » Horizontal command or click the tool in the toolbar.
Specify the origin point of the first extension line.
Specify the point of origin of the second extension line. You can use the pointing device or you can open the dialog box for entering values. In the dialog box, the coordinates of the endpoint can be specified as follows:
- By typing the point coordinates directly.
- By specifying the offset from the starting point.
- Specifying the inclination of the line relative to the horizontal axis and its length.
Adjust the height of the dimension line.

The dimension is created with the current Style.

Commands and options

To start a new dimension, press the SPACEBAR.
To close the tool without drawing the dimension, press ESC.
To change the linear dimension type press TAB. Cyclically changes between: vertical dimension, horizontal dimension, aligned Dimension.
To specify the coordinates of the points or the value of the lengths you can use the pointing device or you can press INS to open the dialog box for entering values.
