You can create each individual frame object separately, or you can create multiple objects with a single command.

Frame objects must be created on a Library type layer. Each symbol definition page must include the Library layer. |
To add one or more frames

Activate the Library layer.

Choose the Library » Frame command or click the tool in the toolbar.

Position the pointer at the point where you want to position the first vertex of the rectangle.

Drag the mouse and click to set the second vertex. In the dialog box specify:
the part number of the frame or the part number of the first frame if multiple frame objects are created;
the number of rows, to create a single frame specify 1 for both the Rows and Columns parameter;
the number of columns, to create a single frame specify 1 for both the Rows and Columns parameter.
Click on Ok. Frame objects are created within the specified rectangle.
Frame objects are created in the current style. The distance between objects is defined by the parameter Document properties » Object styles » Frame object » Distance between frames.
Commands and options
To repeat the command press the SPACEBAR.
To close the tool without adding objects press ESC.
