The sheet port objects are ports that are docked within the sheet objects and form the input and output ports. Each sheet port must correspond to a port on the page linked to the sheet object. The properties of a sheet port are listed in two tabs.

Type

This tab defines the electrical properties of the port.

Type

Select the port type. The type is used during ERC.

Name

Specify the name to assign to the port.

Style

Select the style from the proposed list or create a new style.

Options

Visible line

Specifies whether the end point and anchorage point should be joined by a visible line.

Visible name

Specifies whether the name should be visible or hidden.

Name in vertical

Specifies the orientation of the name when the object is placed vertically.

Graphic object only

Activate this option to insert a sheet port as a simple graphic object without electrical functions.

Automatic name position

Indicates whether the name should be automatically repositioned when the object is rotated.

Graphics

This tab defines the graphic properties of the port. A port consists of two points. The first point is the anchor point, while the second point is the electrical terminal.

Anchor point

Specify the coordinates of the point where the port begins.

X

Specify the horizontal position.

Y

Specify the vertical position.

Plug point

Specify the coordinates of the point where the port ends. The coordinates of the second endpoint can be specified as follows:

In absolute coordinates

Specify the horizontal position in the X box and the vertical position in the Y box.

In coordinates relative to the starting point

Specify the distance of the end of the line from the start point in the fields Dx and Dy.

In polar coordinates from the starting point

Specify the line length and the angle it forms with respect to the x-axis in the fields Length and Angle.
