A path object is a line that has a style for the outline and one for the fill. The paths are defined by two points: a start point and an end point. In this dialog the coordinates of the extremes can be specified in different ways. It is possible to set the shape of the extremes of the path.
Start point
Specify the coordinates of the point where the path begins.
- X
-
Specify the horizontal position.
- Y
-
Specify the vertical position.
End point
The coordinates of the second end of the path can be specified as follows:
- In absolute coordinates
-
Specify the horizontal position in the X box and the vertical position in the Y box.
- In coordinates relative to the starting point
-
Specify the distance of the endpoint of the path from the start point in the fields Dx and Dy.
- In polar coordinates from the starting point
-
Specify the length of the path and the angle it forms with respect to the x-axis in the fields Segment length and Angle.
Width
Specify the width of the path.
Start cap
Specify the shape of the initial end of the path. The initial end will only take the selected form if it is not connected to another path segment.
End cap
Specify the shape of the final end of the path. The final end will only take the selected form if it is not connected to another path segment.
