With the linear arrangement, a linear path is defined along which the selected object is replicated.

---|
In serial duplication of objects it is very important to specify the coordinates of the point to be considered as the origin of the whole selection, initially set at the center of the selection rectangle. The arrangement of objects based on the type of distribution chosen is relative to the origin of the selection. Vedere Selection Transformation Center. |
Number of copies
The number of copies can be specified either directly or indirectly by indicating the distance between the objects. You must set the box Specify the distance between objects:
-
If the box is checked, the distance between objects must be specified. The distance is calculated from the point of origin of the objects. The number of objects will be determined by the length of the line between the start and end points.
-
If the box is not selected, the number of objects to be created must be specified directly. The objects will be arranged so as to fill the entire length of the line between the start and end points.
Line
The parameters in this group define the linear path on which duplicate objects will be placed. The end point of the path can be specified directly or you can specify the length of the path and the angle.
- Horizontal Start and Vertical Start
-
Specify the start coordinates of the linear path.
- Horizontal End and Vertical End
-
Specify the final coordinates of the linear path.
- Length
-
Specify the line length.
- Angle
-
Specify the angle of the line to the x-axis.
Name
You can assign a name to each object in the series. The full name consists of a fixed part and a variable index. In this box the fixed part of the name must be specified using the '%' character to indicate the position in which to insert the index. The index is appended to the name if its position is not specified. If this box is empty, no name will be assigned.
Index
The full name assigned to each object in the series consists of a fixed part and a variable index. In this box you can specify the initial value of the index to hang on the name. If the value does not represent a number then the index will be alphabetic instead of numeric. The index value is automatically increased by one, you can specify a different value for the increment by separating it from the index with a comma.
