Use this dialog when you need to have precise control over the placement of a single object or group of objects.
Horizontal distribution
Specify the type of horizontal distribution. Alignment is defined by specifying the horizontal reference point to be aligned.
- Point at which to align
-
No distribution
Horizontal distribution must not be performed.
With respect to the left edge of objects
Distances the left edge of objects evenly.
Compared to the center of the objects
Distances the center point of objects evenly along the horizontal axis.
With respect to the right edge of objects
Distances the right edge of objects evenly.
Compared to the space between objects
Distributes the selected objects horizontally so that they are evenly spaced from each other.
Vertical distribution
Specify the type of vertical distribution. Alignment is defined by specifying the vertical reference point at which alignment is to be performed.
- Point at which to align
-
No distribution
Vertical distribution must not be performed.
With respect to the upper edge of the objects
Distances the top edge of objects evenly.
Compared to the center of the objects
Distances the center point of objects evenly along the vertical axis.
With respect to the lower edge of objects
Distances the lower edge of objects evenly.
Compared to the space between objects
Distributes the selected objects vertically so that they are evenly spaced from each other.
Align to grid
Check this box to center the alignment point on the grid.
Aligns to the outer contour of objects
If you check this box, the alignment operation takes into account the thickness of the pen used to trace the outline of objects.
