You can use the Libraries panel to open the symbol, footprint, and component libraries.
The following image shows the appearance of the Library panel:
Note: |
---|
There are 5 library panels available. Initially only one of them is visible. To activate other panels, right-click any toolbar and then select the library panel you want to display. A check mark next to the panel name indicates that it is visible in the workspace. |
To change how items are displayed in the Library panel
A library can contain: graphic symbols, electrical symbols, footprints and components. The definition of components has the priority of visualization over symbols and footprints. List view has priority over graphic view.
When you open a library containing both symbols and components, only the list of components is displayed. To display the list of symbols, select the command Options » Show symbols or Options » Show footprint from the panel menu. To have a graphic representation of the symbols activate the option Options » Show preview.
