Call this function to specify the name of the device. This name is entered in the value field of the symbol when you place it in the schematic. If this field is blank, the component is assigned the same name specified in the record name. If you specify only the @ character, the symbol retains the name as specified in the symbol definition.

DlxLibraryDevice.SetDeviceName(name)

Parameters

Parameter Description
name Specify the component name when it is inserted in the schematic.

Return Value

If the name is set correctly it returns true otherwise it returns false.
